While en route from his home in Amsterdam to an exhibition in Bremen, Raul Marroquin noticed the returning traffic signs that warned for crossing deer. These signs, however, can be considered useless: when you’re on the highway, it is difficult – and dangerous – to stop for crossing deer. You will always be too late. Marroquin decided to ‘hunt’ for these signs, and it took him around five years to capture all of these on film.
